With Indianapolis, Indiana and Fort Wayne, Indiana taking up the first two spots as the largest cities in Indiana. Carmel comes in as the 5th largest city in Indiana. Located in Central Indiana in Hamilton County, the city was renamed Carmel in 1874 after being known as Bethlehem before that.

Carmel has so many things to do and attractions for families. Every year they hold a cycling event that brings riders from everywhere to be a part of it. The Monon trail coming through the city became a big deal with so many riders taking to the trails. The residents of the community seem to be a very outdoors active community.

Many wonderful ballets and theatrical performances have been hosted there. Most recently notable when President Donald Trump visited Carmel, Indiana he used the Palladium to host his rally. Famous people from Carmel, Indiana include David Letterman and his mother Dorothy Letterman Mongering. NBA basketball player Josh McRoberts grew up here before playing college basketball for the Duke Blue Devils. His NBA career had him drafted by the Portland Trailblazers before being traded to come home to the Indiana Pacers.
